The supporters of Zielonka Gdansk booed when Powiśle Warszawa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radomir Lato didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Zielonka Gdansk's Jan Tomaszewski got control of the ball when Lorenzo Rocendo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th minute of the match Zielonka Gdansk got a corner. Powiśle Warszawa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cyprian Sitko ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Zielonka Gdansk's Cyprian Sitko to fire away a dangerous shot which Boguslaw Siwek despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Qiu Ling Lang in the 38th minute of play forced Powiśle Warszawa's goalkeeper Boguslaw Siwek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorenzo Rocendo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Tomaszewski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After 43 minutes Zielonka Gdansk's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Miroslaw Drab who took care of the corner kick. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
