In the 9th minute Stanislaw Absolwent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Pyrtek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of PIASTOW RZESZOW booed when Red Bulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boruc Kornatowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. PIASTOW RZESZOW's Ciro Delle Donne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iustin Coporan in the 14th minute of play. Red Bulls's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Boruc Kornatowski in the 17th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of PIASTOW RZESZOW's goalie and right to Mariusz Snow. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. PIASTOW RZESZOW's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Stanislaw Absolwent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pankracy Pyrtek having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Gunnar Nyman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pankracy Pyrtek was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Ciro Delle Donne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yosif Bakrachev in the 28th minute of play. Ciro Delle Donne was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Alpheios Logarakis got free with Pankracy Pyrtek in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Red Bulls's Yosif Bakrachev in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PIASTOW RZESZOW's goalie prevented a goal. After 45 played minutes Red Bulls got a freekick which was hit by Przemyslaw Bejgier. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gunnar Nyman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. PIASTOW RZESZOW's Erich Lischer got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yosif Bakrachev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Ciro Delle Donne made a huge save. Ciro Delle Donne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yosif Bakrachev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When PIASTOW RZESZOW's Gunnar Nyman in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. PIASTOW RZESZOW's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Boruc Kornatowski scored to the left of an out of position Ciro Delle Donne, making the score, 0-2. In the 87th match minute, PIASTOW RZESZOW was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zbigniew Ankiewicz to maneuver through the defense. Ciro Delle Donne came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Red Bulls's Przemyslaw Bejgier. But to his dismay, Przemyslaw Bejgier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 91 minutes into the match, PIASTOW RZESZOW's goal looked a bit too open when Yosif Bakrachev came free, but Ciro Delle Donne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 played minutes PIASTOW RZESZOW got a freekick which was hit by Alpheios Logarakis. Yosif Bakrachev succeeded in the game's 94th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. The Red Bulls players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
