Emil Cvitanović stood somewhat misplaced when Sylwester Majorski came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 14 minute. In the 36th minute, Olimpia Koło's David Skjold ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emil Cvitanović. Emil Cvitanović yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. 41 minutes into the game, Yu Kuan Cheng threw the ball into play from the sideline. MKS Maczka's Cătălin Herea quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 43 minutes into the match, MKS Maczka's Pankracy Gaszynski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pawel Madej narrowly saved just below the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eugeniusz Kolbert was the one to do the kick off. Eugeniusz Kolbert might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pawel Madej. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eugeniusz Kolbert ran back to his position shaking his head.
