Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Łukasz Fabiański successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Viliam Vrábel made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Pawel Wielowiejski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gwarek Zabrze's supporters rose to their feet, but Pawel Wielowiejski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osa Ossa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 64 minutes into the match, Gwarek Zabrze's goal looked a bit too open when Viliam Vrábel came free, but Łukasz Fabiański reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Richie Puch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 67 minutes, Richie Puch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gwarek Zabrze's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richie Puch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Gwarek Zabrze's goal looked a bit too open when Antonello Marcon came free, but Łukasz Fabiański reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Łukasz Fabiański made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viliam Vrábel in the 73rd minute of play.
