The coaching staff of BESTIA GDAŃSK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Abdulbaki Tanay had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Leszek Huchro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lukasz Bronder in the 34th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Arsenal's goal looked a bit too open when Szymon Maziarski came free, but Gunnar Taevere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arsenal's Gunnar Taevere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Remus in the 39th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When Jozef Goegebeur came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the BESTIA GDAŃSK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jozef Goegebeur couldn't finish the play. Arsenal's Gunnar Taevere proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Arsenal from getting a goal against them. In the 57th minute Albert Remus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Taevere saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute of the match BESTIA GDAŃSK got a corner. Arsenal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jozef Goegebeur ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Jozef Goegebeur got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gunnar Taevere quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Szymon Maziarski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Arsenal booed when BESTIA GDAŃSK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jozef Goegebeur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gunnar Taevere made an important save on a dangerous shot by Szymon Maziarski in the 66th minute. After a rather tough play, Arsenal's Lucas Pimentel got a free kick in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jozef Goegebeur in the 74th minute of play forced Arsenal's goalkeeper Gunnar Taevere to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BESTIA GDAŃSK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Szymon Maziarski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, BESTIA GDAŃSK's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Dziatkowski came free, but Leszek Huchro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leszek Huchro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giotis Kourmouzis in the 83rd minute of play. Szymon Maziarski came free with the goalkeeper in the 84th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gunnar Taevere could save by the left post. A collision led to Arsenal getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Giotis Kourmouzis hit a great ball. BESTIA GDAŃSK's Leszek Huchro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giotis Kourmouzis in the 90th minute of play. Arsenal's Gunnar Taevere proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Arsenal from getting a goal against them. Arsenal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
