Gunnar Taevere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pawel Wielowiejski in the 6th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Giotis Kourmouzis sped through Gwarek Zabrze's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Łukasz Fabiański. Łukasz Fabiański took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Faron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Gwarek Zabrze defense, Artur Faron kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Łukasz Fabiański. The Gwarek Zabrze fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Łukasz Fabiański should have stopped the shot. Arsenal's Gunnar Taevere proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Arsenal from getting a goal against them. When Wladyslaw Paraszczuk fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gwarek Zabrze's protests and gave Wladyslaw Paraszczuk a yellow card for diving instead. Wladyslaw Paraszczuk kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Artur Faron notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Gwarek Zabrze's Łukasz Fabiański. Łukasz Fabiański was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Gwarek Zabrze booed when Arsenal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernabe Odon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gwarek Zabrze's Łukasz Fabiański played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giotis Kourmouzis in the 29th minute of play. Łukasz Fabiański made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Faron in the 31st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wiktor Wincek during the 32nd minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Richie Puch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Gwarek Zabrze got a freekick which was hit by Wiktor Wincek. Arsenal's Gunnar Taevere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pawel Wielowiejski in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Arsenal's Lukasz Bronder got a free kick in the 57th minute. Dawid Bielecki lost his temper 59 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gwarek Zabrze! In the 61st minute, Giotis Kourmouzis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Łukasz Fabiański was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gwarek Zabrze's goalkeeper Łukasz Fabiański, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Gwarek Zabrze getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Wiktor Wincek hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Artur Faron managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lucas Pimentel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gwarek Zabrze's goalkeeper Łukasz Fabiański, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Łukasz Fabiański stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giotis Kourmouzis's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute there was a penalty for Arsenal. Giotis Kourmouzis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Łukasz Fabiański. 0-6. Gwarek Zabrze's Łukasz Fabiański proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Gwarek Zabrze from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giotis Kourmouzis got free with Łukasz Fabiański in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gwarek Zabrze's defense didn't have a chance, in the 97th minute, when Giotis Kourmouzis scored to the left of an out of position Łukasz Fabiański, making the score, 0-7.
