The coaching staff of Zagłębie Dąbrowskie protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Edgar Wejta had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boguslaw Olejniczak couldn't finish the play. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
