Herbert Kosakowski was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fabian Mielak showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 12 minute of play. Kajetan Duszenski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herbert Kosakowski having to interfere. Przemyslaw Del Piero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 20 minutes into the game, Przemyslaw Del Piero recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Herbert Kosakowski. Przemyslaw Del Piero showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as GÓRNIK ZABRZE's Laurentino Valentim slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Herbert Kosakowski. That made the score 5-0 after 23 minutes of play. Herbert Kosakowski came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by GÓRNIK ZABRZE's Yngve Björklund. But to his dismay, Yngve Björklund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. When GÓRNIK ZABRZE's Przemyslaw Del Piero in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Koniec Gry's goalie prevented a goal. In the 32nd minute, Laurentino Valentim reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Herbert Kosakowski. The goal made the score 8-0. After 34 minutes of play, GÓRNIK ZABRZE's Yngve Björklund made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Herbert Kosakowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domenico Muzzolon in the 40th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as GÓRNIK ZABRZE's Kajetan Duszenski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Herbert Kosakowski. That made the score 11-0 after 48 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 11-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Przemyslaw Del Piero was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Koniec Gry was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugeniusz Siekierski to maneuver through the defense. Przemyslaw Del Piero might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herbert Kosakowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Przemyslaw Del Piero ran back to his position shaking his head. Herbert Kosakowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Przemyslaw Del Piero in the 54th minute of play. When Przemyslaw Del Piero came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the GÓRNIK ZABRZE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Przemyslaw Del Piero couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute Kajetan Duszenski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Kosakowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Przemyslaw Del Piero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Herbert Kosakowski. Koniec Gry's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Przemyslaw Del Piero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 13-0. After a defensive mix-up in Koniec Gry's zone, Yngve Björklund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herbert Kosakowski came out of the goal and Yngve Björklund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Koniec Gry's Herbert Kosakowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kajetan Duszenski in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kajetan Duszenski in the 67th minute of play forced Koniec Gry's goalkeeper Herbert Kosakowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yngve Björklund hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute Przemyslaw Del Piero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Kosakowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Przemyslaw Del Piero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herbert Kosakowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yngve Björklund in the 90th minute of the match. Przemyslaw Del Piero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 95 minutes, Boleslaw Falke mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Koniec Gry and the GÓRNIK ZABRZE players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 95 played minutes Koniec Gry got a freekick which was hit by Boleslaw Falke. Herbert Kosakowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yngve Björklund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. GÓRNIK ZABRZE's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
