The supporters of Legia Warszawa booed when Dereczanka SA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanislaw Brytan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romeo Dorio was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Leszek Podwojski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leszek Podwojski really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 38th minute, Leonard Kalinowski made a precise shot to the right of Zenon Pleban. Legia Warszawa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. With a little luck, Dereczanka SA's Romeo Dorio got control of the ball when Leszek Podwojski tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leszek Podwojski got free with Romeo Dorio in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A nice corner shot did that Qiu Yang got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Romeo Dorio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

In the 75th minute, Axel Lindberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romeo Dorio was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Leszek Podwojski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonard Kalinowski in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zenon Pleban prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Petrică Târlea's late challenge caught a Legia Warszawa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petrică Târlea helped the player get up and apologised. Zenon Pleban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Kalinowski in the 97th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Legia Warszawa fans cheered their team off the field, for while Dereczanka SA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
