Mateo Palacio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ryszard Golaszewski came out and tried to block the shot, but Mateo Palacio slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 29th minute. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Piast Leszczyny eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
