Donostia Olvera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Sebastião Xoxe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norbert Major took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pankracy Jaraczeski. Pankracy Jaraczeski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Sebastião Xoxe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donostia Olvera, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. FC Wypyszek's Pankracy Jaraczeski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norbert Major in the 34th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bixente Lizarazu got free with Sebastião Xoxe in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Norbert Major to make the kick off.
