Spectators: 7527 (Terracing: 5646, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bård Igland got the match started through his kick off. With an all-out effort, Rösnes BK's Hans-Martin Sjøvoll threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ole-Johan Aune, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Åsmund Hovden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the game, Kenneth Hogstad cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Hans-Martin Sjøvoll was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kenneth Hogstad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Hans-Martin Sjøvoll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22 played minutes Bårnås got a freekick which was hit by Halvard Søberg. The crowd rose to their feet as Kenneth Hogstad kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hans-Martin Sjøvoll. That made the score 3-0 in the 24 minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Bårnås's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelius Marthinsen came free, but Hans-Martin Sjøvoll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Runar Skålevik kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Rösnes BK's Lars-Olav Klæboe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bård Igland in the 33rd minute of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Bård Igland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bårnås's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bård Igland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Bård Igland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Runar Skålevik charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Runar Skålevik the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cornelius Marthinsen was the one to do the kick off. Hans-Martin Sjøvoll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenneth Hogstad in the 52nd minute of play. Bård Igland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hans-Martin Sjøvoll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenneth Hogstad, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute, John-Einar Nordlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Runar Skålevik was shown his second yellow card after 61 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Kenneth Hogstad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Hans-Martin Sjøvoll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 66 minutes, Åsmund Hovden mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bårnås and the Rösnes BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Rösnes BK booed when Bårnås was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Åsmund Hovden didn't get a good kick on the ball. John-Einar Nordlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars-Olav Klæboe having to interfere. Lars-Olav Klæboe made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when John-Einar Nordlund sent off a good shot on target. John-Einar Nordlund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Åsmund Hovden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars-Olav Klæboe having to interfere. John-Einar Nordlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars-Olav Klæboe having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Bårnås's John-Einar Nordlund sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lars-Olav Klæboe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. John-Einar Nordlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Rösnes BK's zone, John-Einar Nordlund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lars-Olav Klæboe came out of the goal and John-Einar Nordlund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Rösnes BK's Rune Marthinussen got a free kick in the 97th minute. The Rösnes BK support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
