Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Tord Herigstad started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Tord Herigstad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Trøen having to interfere. When Snorre Skogseth fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Engelsviken FF's protests and gave Snorre Skogseth a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Engelsviken FF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 7th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Jutlamannen Lærdal a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jan-Kenneth Hussain, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Engelsviken FF's Edgard Rognlien. 1-0. After 17 minutes, Truls Fosen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jutlamannen Lærdal and the Engelsviken FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th minute, Truls Fosen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ask Persen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Georg Mikalsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Edgard Rognlien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The nice shot from Georg Mikalsen in the 30thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Edgard Rognlien had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Tord Herigstad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th minute, Truls Fosen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Jutlamannen Lærdal's goal looked a bit too open when Tord Herigstad came free, but Frank Trøen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Engelsviken FF's Ask Persen got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Jutlamannen Lærdal's Anton Leirvik got a free kick in the 40th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jimmy Sletten to make the kick off. Jutlamannen Lærdal's Frank Trøen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tord Herigstad in the 52nd minute of play. Tord Herigstad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Jutlamannen Lærdal's Frank Trøen got control of the ball when Ask Persen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jutlamannen Lærdal's Frank Trøen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tord Herigstad in the 62nd minute of play. Engelsviken FF's Snorre Skogseth couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 66th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Jutlamannen Lærdal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tord Herigstad in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frank Trøen saved Jutlamannen Lærdal from getting behind. Edgard Rognlien showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimmy Sletten, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. If Jimmy Sletten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Georg Mikalsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Rognlien having to interfere. Georg Mikalsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Edgard Rognlien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Georg Mikalsen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgard Rognlien was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Jimmy Sletten took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgard Rognlien. Edgard Rognlien dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. With an all-out effort, Engelsviken FF's Frank Trøen threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tord Herigstad, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Edgard Rognlien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy Sletten in the 92nd minute of the match. If Ask Persen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Jutlamannen Lærdal fans cheered their team off the field, for while Engelsviken FF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
