Spectators: 5730 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 0, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jørund Rønning kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jørund Rønning in the 3rd minute of play forced Everton FC N.'s goalkeeper Joachim Solvik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 5 minutes into the game, Jørund Rønning cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Joachim Solvik was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jørund Rønning fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joachim Solvik having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Jørund Rønning managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mårnes Goalkeeping's supporters rose to their feet, but Jørund Rønning was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joachim Solvik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tor-Henrik Michelsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Espen Naustdal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francesco Montanari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Everton FC N.'s Catalin Chelaru slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Espen Naustdal. That made the score 1-1 after 17 minutes of play. After 21 minutes, Martin Engedal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mårnes Goalkeeping and the Everton FC N. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 21 played minutes Mårnes Goalkeeping got a freekick which was hit by Martin Engedal. When Raymond Espe fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Everton FC N.'s protests and gave Raymond Espe a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Everton FC N. getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Raymond Espe hit a great ball. If Catalin Chelaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Everton FC N.'s Francesco Montanari slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Espen Naustdal. That made the score 2-1 after 35 minutes of play. If Francesco Montanari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Everton FC N.'s goal looked a bit too open when Martin Engedal came free, but Joachim Solvik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jørund Rønning scored 2-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joachim Solvik, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeppe Grønstad stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Catalin Chelaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 57 played minutes Everton FC N. got a freekick which was hit by Runar Sæbø. Wilhelm Tvedt, 58 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With his leg Joachim Solvik managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Mårnes Goalkeeping's Tor-Henrik Michelsen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mårnes Goalkeeping's Espen Naustdal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeppe Grønstad in the 64th minute of play. Francesco Montanari charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francesco Montanari the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Everton FC N. getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Francesco Montanari hit a great ball. Tor-Henrik Michelsen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Joachim Solvik made a huge save. In the 71st minute, Hans-Kristian Muller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tor-Henrik Michelsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Joachim Solvik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Espen Naustdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Montanari in the 75th minute of play. Espen Naustdal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Catalin Chelaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Joachim Solvik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jørund Rønning, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the game, Francesco Montanari cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Espen Naustdal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Catalin Chelaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Catalin Chelaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Mårnes Goalkeeping's goal looked a bit too open when Francesco Montanari came free, but Espen Naustdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute of the match Everton FC N. got a corner. Mårnes Goalkeeping's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Catalin Chelaru ran over to the corner to take the kick. Catalin Chelaru made a great header on Everton FC N.'s corner, it was just that Mårnes Goalkeeping's Espen Naustdal managed to reach the ball for a save. Mårnes Goalkeeping's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
