Spectators: 7255 (Terracing: 5755, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) Melby Ballklubb's Joakim Raastad started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Melby Ballklubb's Sturle Bjerkan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christer Miljeteig in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the game, David Skjolden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Melby Ballklubb's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trosvik IF the free kick. David Skjolden kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Rødseth in the 7th minute of play forced Melby Ballklubb's goalkeeper Sturle Bjerkan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Trosvik IF's Alf-Inge Myhren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sturle Bjerkan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, Trosvik IF's goalkeeper Ulf-Hendrik Grav had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Skjolden. 17 minutes into the game, Iacob Bilașco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Sturle Bjerkan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joakim Raastad's late challenge caught a Trosvik IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joakim Raastad helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Trosvik IF booed when Melby Ballklubb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joakim Raastad didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 minutes of play, Trosvik IF's Iacob Bilașco made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sturle Bjerkan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sturle Bjerkan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alf-Inge Myhren went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. If Alf-Inge Myhren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Kvaløy charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Kvaløy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 37 played minutes Trosvik IF got a freekick which was hit by Yngvar Sagstad. When Yngvar Sagstad fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trosvik IF's protests and gave Yngvar Sagstad a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th minute, Yngvar Sagstad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trosvik IF's Ulf-Hendrik Grav played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joakim Raastad in the 42nd minute of play. Sturle Bjerkan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Rødseth in the 43rd minute of play. Ulf-Hendrik Grav made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Skjolden in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alf-Inge Myhren was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Melby Ballklubb getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Oddvar Bergo hit a great ball. Sturle Bjerkan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Rødseth in the 54th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Alf-Inge Myhren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joakim Raastad scored 1-4 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulf-Hendrik Grav, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Iacob Bilașco succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 69th playminute. Ulf-Hendrik Grav took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Skjolden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trosvik IF's Ulf-Hendrik Grav played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oddvar Bergo in the 75th minute of play. David Skjolden took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ulf-Hendrik Grav. Ulf-Hendrik Grav dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. Oddvar Bergo scored 3-5 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulf-Hendrik Grav, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ulf-Hendrik Grav showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Skjolden in the 84th minute of the match. Alf-Inge Myhren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Sturle Bjerkan made a huge save. 86 minutes into the match, Asmund Miljeteig notched a goal, 4-5, to the right of Trosvik IF's Ulf-Hendrik Grav. Ulf-Hendrik Grav was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Oddvar Bergo fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Melby Ballklubb's protests and gave Oddvar Bergo a yellow card for diving instead. After 89 played minutes Melby Ballklubb got a freekick which was hit by Oddvar Bergo. 91 minutes into the game, Iacob Bilașco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trosvik IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Melby Ballklubb the free kick. After 91 played minutes Trosvik IF got a freekick which was hit by Iacob Bilașco. Ulf-Hendrik Grav came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Melby Ballklubb's Joakim Raastad. But to his dismay, Joakim Raastad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-5. Despite being the better team, Melby Ballklubb failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
