A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 10 minutes into the match, Jesseim's goalkeeper Anton Olberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Per Hellenes. Anton Olberg made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Per Hellenes sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Maiden FC booed when Jesseim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geir Hol didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Jesseim's Ola Arnøy got a free kick in the 17th minute. Anton Olberg acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 18th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nicholas Blindheim. Anton Olberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Per Hellenes in the 19th minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Tord Buvarp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maiden FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tord Buvarp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tord Buvarp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Jesseim's zone, Gabriel Olafsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Olberg came out of the goal and Gabriel Olafsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tord Buvarp to make the kick off. Tord Buvarp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Anton Olberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eilert Kvernmo hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. When Per Hellenes came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Maiden FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per Hellenes couldn't finish the play. If Per Hellenes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Tord Buvarp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maiden FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tord Buvarp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anton Olberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Jesseim getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Ola Arnøy hit a great ball. In the 79th minute, Tord Buvarp made a precise shot to the right of Anton Olberg. Jesseim's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Jesseim's zone, Tord Buvarp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Olberg came out of the goal and Tord Buvarp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tord Buvarp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Olberg having to interfere. Anton Olberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per Hellenes, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Per Hellenes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maiden FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
