The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 12 minutes, Tom Korneliussen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hammeren's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tom Korneliussen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tom Korneliussen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Lars-Olav Sørhus when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lars-Olav Sørhus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Michaelsen's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute, one of Raagrend IF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Raagrend IF. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raimund Michalk during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Raagrend IF getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Raimund Michalk hit a great ball. Samuel Sommerstad kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Lars-Olav Sørhus didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 45th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Daniel Michaelsen made the kick off in the second half. If Ørjan Tverberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Raagrend IF's Andreas Sagbakken got a free kick in the 56th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bjørn Josefsen couldn't finish the play. Lars-Olav Sørhus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom Korneliussen in the 90th minute of the match. When Jurand Biskupiak came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Raagrend IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jurand Biskupiak couldn't finish the play.
