Spectators: 7547 (Terracing: 5662, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bjørnar Kleveland kicked off to start the match. If Frode Grimsrud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bjørnar Kleveland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nikolai Sem read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arthur Vestli during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arthur Vestli kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tage Milde got free with Morten Benjaminsen in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Heia Start's Nikolai Sem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bjørnar Kleveland in the 18th minute of play. After 26 minutes of play, Gulsvik IF's Oddbjørn Persson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nikolai Sem was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Heia Start booed when Gulsvik IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Saltnes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nikolai Sem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur Vestli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Bjørnar Kleveland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nikolai Sem was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Arthur Vestli was shown his second yellow card after 43 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Arthur Vestli hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Gulsvik IF's Morten Benjaminsen got control of the ball when Tage Milde tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Heia Start players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gulsvik IF were winning 1-2.

Tormod Lund in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nikolai Sem, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nikolai Sem made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Oddbjørn Persson sent off a good shot on target. In the 54th play minute Oddbjørn Persson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nikolai Sem. 1-3. Kristen Refsnes charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kristen Refsnes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kristen Refsnes hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. When Bjørnar Kleveland came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Gulsvik IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bjørnar Kleveland couldn't finish the play. After having played for 66 minutes, Bjørnar Kleveland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gulsvik IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bjørnar Kleveland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oddbjørn Persson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Nikolai Sem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Heia Start's Oddbjørn Guldbrandsen got a free kick in the 72nd minute. With a little luck, Heia Start's Nikolai Sem got control of the ball when Oddbjørn Persson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nikolai Sem made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Bjørnar Kleveland sent off a good shot on target. Oddbjørn Persson came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nikolai Sem could save by the left post. In the 85th play minute Oddbjørn Persson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nikolai Sem. 1-4. Tage Milde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oddbjørn Persson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christian Bjørnø sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gulsvik IF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
