Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jon-Inge Sandstad started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Andreas Sangolt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Even Heggen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even Heggen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Sangolt in the 4th minute of the match. In the 6th minute, Andreas Sangolt made a precise shot to the right of Even Heggen. Waldemars Gutter's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 12th minute of the match Vidar Størdal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christian Risa skillfully saved the ball. In the 15th minute, Julian Seppola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute Andreas Sangolt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Even Heggen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 20 minutes, Andreas Sangolt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monstad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andreas Sangolt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Ove Pedersen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Andreas Sangolt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th match minute, Waldemars Gutter was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian Seppola to maneuver through the defense. Ove Pedersen hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Monstad's Kim Myklebust couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 27th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Waldemars Gutter. After a rather tough play, Waldemars Gutter's Jon-Inge Sandstad got a free kick in the 28th minute. Even Heggen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Aage Holmgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Even Heggen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Sangolt in the 38th minute of play. When Aleksander Takle came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Waldemars Gutter fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aleksander Takle couldn't finish the play. Aleksander Takle charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aleksander Takle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Andreas Sangolt made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Waldemars Gutter got a freekick which was hit by Raymond Stokkan. Jan-Aage Holmgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Monstad booed when Waldemars Gutter was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sturle Lehne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andreas Sangolt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Even Heggen having to interfere. Jonathan Haga struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Even Heggen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monstad. Even Heggen made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Jan-Aage Holmgren sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Even Heggen managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Monstad's Jan-Aage Holmgren fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 80 minutes, Andreas Sangolt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monstad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andreas Sangolt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Jan-Aage Holmgren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monstad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. If Jan-Aage Holmgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 90 in the game by Jan-Aage Holmgren from a close distance when the talented Even Heggen managed to make a qualified save. Waldemars Gutter's players were relieved. 93 minutes into the match, Waldemars Gutter's goalkeeper Even Heggen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan-Aage Holmgren.
