Erling Nergaard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Vindic's Thomas Stormyr nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erling Nergaard made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After some careless play in the Domination BK defense, Helge Friestad kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erling Nergaard. The Domination BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erling Nergaard should have stopped the shot. Thomas Stormyr might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erling Nergaard. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thomas Stormyr ran back to his position shaking his head. After 35 minutes, Halvard Høyer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Domination BK and the Vindic players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes Domination BK got a freekick which was hit by Halvard Høyer. In the 37th minute Thomas Stormyr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erling Nergaard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hans Reppe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karl Barstad in the 38th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Domination BK's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Stormyr came free, but Erling Nergaard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
