Kjell Erland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jørund Bernhardsen in the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Truls Sandstad in the 23rd minute of play forced Raagrend IF's goalkeeper Kjell Erland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jørund Bernhardsen took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kjell Erland. Kjell Erland dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Odd Magerøy got free with Jim Digre in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd minute Truls Sandstad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell Erland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute of the match Alf-Inge Andvik sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kjell Erland skillfully saved the ball. FC Alutis's Jim Digre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sjur Tveter in the 42nd minute of play. If Truls Sandstad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raagrend IF's Kjell Erland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Truls Sandstad in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Raagrend IF's goalkeeper Kjell Erland, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Alutis! The referee gave Raagrend IF a penalty, 74 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Karsten Løvås, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Alutis's Jim Digre. 1-2. 77 minutes into the match, Raagrend IF's goalkeeper Kjell Erland had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jørund Bernhardsen. When Truls Sandstad came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the FC Alutis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Truls Sandstad couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd match minute, Raagrend IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvard Vik to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Truls Sandstad took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Kjell Erland to make any attempt to save it. FC Alutis's Jørund Bernhardsen got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Raagrend IF booed when FC Alutis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Truls Sandstad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jim Digre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sjur Tveter in the 95th minute of play. When the match was over FC Alutis could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Raagrend IF throughout the match.
