Jørgen Høydal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christer Vold having to interfere. If Christian Hage had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Marstein hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 20th match minute, Mitrovici Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ken Olsson to maneuver through the defense. Christer Vold made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Christian Hage sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Mitrovici Juniors defense, Jørgen Høydal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christer Vold. The Mitrovici Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christer Vold should have stopped the shot. Christian Hage received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Christer Vold tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jørgen Rødseth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Jørgen Høydal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Christian Hage's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christer Vold was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Christer Vold had great luck who in the 37thth minute grab hold of the ball when Christian Hage from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 39 minutes into the match, Mitrovici Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Jørgen Høydal came free, but Christer Vold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Jørgen Høydal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Staalvikbotn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jørgen Høydal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Christian Hage notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Mitrovici Juniors's Christer Vold. Christer Vold was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Staalvikbotn booed when Mitrovici Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ken Olsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Hage stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 65 minutes, Sebastian Tangstad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After 68 played minutes, Staalvikbotn's Thomas Sveen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Christer Vold came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Staalvikbotn reached it. Jørgen Høydal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christer Vold read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute Sebastian Tangstad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christer Vold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christer Vold came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Staalvikbotn's Christian Hage. But to his dismay, Christian Hage quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Christer Vold came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Staalvikbotn's Yngve Monge. But to his dismay, Yngve Monge quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. After 83 played minutes Staalvikbotn got a freekick which was hit by Jørgen Høydal. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Jørgen Høydal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Staalvikbotn's supporters rose to their feet, but Jørgen Høydal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christer Vold breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jørgen Høydal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute.
