When Sebastian Bergersen came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Trippel United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Bergersen couldn't finish the play. When Sjur Stein fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trippel United's protests and gave Sjur Stein a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Hustoft United booed when Trippel United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sjur Stein didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastian Bergersen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thor Mohammad having to make a save. Sebastian Bergersen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Thor Mohammad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Kåre Bergsland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Hustoft United booed when Trippel United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stein-Roger Lindland didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute of the match Martin Skjetne shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tor-Henrik Slette showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Hustoft United's goalkeeper Thor Mohammad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastian Bergersen. Thor Mohammad made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Bergersen in the 43rd minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Thor Mohammad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Ivar Bjørlo in the 52nd minute of the match. Thor Mohammad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Ivar Bjørlo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Hustoft United getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Ronny Moholt hit a great ball. Kåre Kvilhaug fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tor-Henrik Slette having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, Trippel United's Trym Svensson tried to score from far away in the 68th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Kåre Bergsland came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Hustoft United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kåre Bergsland couldn't finish the play. In the 80th minute, Jan-Ivar Bjørlo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd match minute, Hustoft United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronny Moholt to maneuver through the defense. Thor Mohammad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Ivar Bjørlo, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Sebastian Bergersen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kåre Kvilhaug struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Tor-Henrik Slette didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hustoft United. In the 95th minute, Kåre Bergsland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
