If Hans-Kristian Skjærstad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When John-Edvin Håkonsen fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dragland's protests and gave John-Edvin Håkonsen a yellow card for diving instead. Tor-Kristian Hoseth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Hassel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Dragland booed when finnøy youth academy f.c was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Grønbech didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastian Ekelund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bjørn Skage in the 31st minute. Dag Tonning kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Erik Hassel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tor-Kristian Hoseth was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Tor-Kristian Hoseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Hassel, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. If John Dragland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hans-Kristian Skjærstad to make the kick off. Dragland's Sebastian Ekelund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sture Elden in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Hans-Kristian Skjærstad recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tor-Kristian Hoseth. Hans-Kristian Skjærstad showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Sture Elden's late challenge caught a Dragland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sture Elden helped the player get up and apologised. Sture Elden hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Hans-Kristian Skjærstad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tor-Kristian Hoseth didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 62nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. Hans-Kristian Skjærstad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Tor-Kristian Hoseth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, finnøy youth academy f.c's goalkeeper Tor-Kristian Hoseth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hans-Kristian Skjærstad. An unexpectedly hard shot by Finn-Christian Sommerstad in the 81st minute of play forced Dragland's goalkeeper Sebastian Ekelund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Hans-Kristian Skjærstad came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Dragland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hans-Kristian Skjærstad couldn't finish the play. Erik Hassel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tor-Kristian Hoseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Hassel in the 89th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Dragland eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
