But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johannes Myrhaug couldn't finish the play. GALATASARAY SK's Fredrik Hjorth got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fredrik Hjorths short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Joakim Dahlstrøm to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 10 minutes, Fredrik Hjorth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GALATASARAY SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fredrik Hjorth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th match minute, Brydalen IL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans-Petter Petterson to maneuver through the defense. Johannes Myrhaug sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joakim Dahlstrøm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johannes Myrhaug, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 23 minutes, Fredrik Hjorth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. If Frode Vårdal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Willumsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. GALATASARAY SK's Mons Myhra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frode Vårdal in the 39th minute of play. Mons Myhra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Willumsen in the 44th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Johannes Myrhaug to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, GALATASARAY SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torgeir Stenseth to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Brydalen IL's zone, Harald Dalen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joakim Dahlstrøm came out of the goal and Harald Dalen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mons Myhra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Brydalen IL's Frode Vårdal got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Willumsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Mons Myhra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harald Dalen during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th minute, Harald Dalen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th match minute, GALATASARAY SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atle Christiansen to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Willumsen got free with Mons Myhra in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Torgeir Stenseth fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GALATASARAY SK's protests and gave Torgeir Stenseth a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Brydalen IL booed when GALATASARAY SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torgeir Stenseth didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in GALATASARAY SK's zone, Frode Vårdal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mons Myhra came out of the goal and Frode Vårdal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mons Myhra didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Brydalen IL's Daniel Willumsen shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute.
