Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Martin Rokne kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute Martin Rokne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jøran Skaug saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iver Holtan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ole Sjøvold read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Martin Rokne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Jøran Skaug tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Christian Valde fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olsborg's protests and gave Christian Valde a yellow card for diving instead. After 17 played minutes Olsborg got a freekick which was hit by Christian Valde. Jakob Omholt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Martin Rokne made a precise shot to the right of Jøran Skaug. Olsborg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Sjørbotn's Ole Sjøvold proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Sjørbotn from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Sjørbotn's Ola Øiseth got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Hans-Petter Bævre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ole Sjøvold having to interfere. The supporters of Olsborg booed when Sjørbotn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Svein Meek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iver Holtan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ole Sjøvold having to interfere. Hans-Petter Bævre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hans-Petter Bævre to make the kick off. Jøran Skaug made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jakob Omholt in the 56th minute. Jakob Omholt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Jøran Skaug made a huge save. Olsborg's Kenneth Ek pulled a muscle in his back after 59 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, Sjørbotn's Joachim Sølvberg got a free kick in the 60th minute. Olsborg's Jøran Skaug played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Rokne in the 62nd minute of play. Martin Rokne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jøran Skaug having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Olsborg's zone, Jakob Omholt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jøran Skaug came out of the goal and Jakob Omholt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jakob Omholt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Jøran Skaug made a huge save. Olsborg's Jøran Skaug played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Rokne in the 77th minute of play. In the 85th minute of the match, Martin Rokne tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jøran Skaug saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Olsborg's zone, Jakob Omholt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jøran Skaug came out of the goal and Jakob Omholt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jøran Skaug didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jakob Omholt went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The Olsborg supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sjørbotn's performance. The match ended with a win for Sjørbotn.
