Tveitan FF's Ruben Olafsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Tveitan FF from getting a goal against them. Christian Ramstad stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Einar Fidje's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Tveitan FF's Einar Fidje sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christian Ramstad narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Tveitan FF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bjarne Melby fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ruben Olafsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bjarne Melby's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. In the 19th minute Sverre Bergo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Ramstad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tor-Arne Skogheim kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Linnehats IF's Christian Ramstad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Einar Fidje in the 23rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sverre Bergo in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christian Ramstad saved Linnehats IF from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Einar Fidje's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Ramstad was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Anders Sandberg charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anders Sandberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Linnehats IF getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Anders Sandberg hit a great ball. During the 30th minute of the match Anders Sandberg completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Anders Sandberg a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. If Sverre Bergo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sverre Bergo in the 44th minute of play forced Linnehats IF's goalkeeper Christian Ramstad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Einar Fidje recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tage Johannessen to make the kick off. Sverre Bergo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Christian Ramstad when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tage Johannessen in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruben Olafsen saved Tveitan FF from getting behind. In the 59th minute Einar Fidje shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Ramstad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tage Johannessen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Olafsen having to interfere. If Tage Johannessen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Linnehats IF's goal looked a bit too open when Einar Fidje came free, but Christian Ramstad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tage Johannessen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruben Olafsen came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Linnehats IF's Halvdan Elvenes. But to his dismay, Halvdan Elvenes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Linnehats IF's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
