An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Blystad in the 6th minute of play forced Fagervik FF's goalkeeper Morten Gudmundsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steinar Narvestad kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Samuel Blystad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Morten Gudmundsen having to interfere. Egil Tvete received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Morten Gudmundsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samuel Blystad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Morten Gudmundsen having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, Zalgiris was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Vestby to maneuver through the defense. Jon-Arne Sørdal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Runar Gjersøe, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 26th minute, Runar Gjersøe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thomas Hoff hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the game, Egil Tvete was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zalgiris's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fagervik FF the free kick. After a rather tough play, Zalgiris's Egil Tvete got a free kick in the 30th minute. Fagervik FF's Even Roth got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Arvid Viken came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Fagervik FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arvid Viken couldn't finish the play. Zalgiris's Jon-Arne Sørdal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Even Roth in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute of the match Fagervik FF got a corner. Zalgiris's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aslak Smistad ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Aslak Smistad almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Zalgiris's Jon-Arne Sørdal did a great save. After 48 played minutes Fagervik FF got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Hornnes. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Even Roth made a kick off. Fagervik FF's Morten Gudmundsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egil Tvete in the 55th minute of play. If Egil Tvete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Morten Gudmundsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Blystad in the 59th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Fagervik FF's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Blystad came free, but Morten Gudmundsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Egil Tvete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even Roth's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Jon-Arne Sørdal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jon-Arne Sørdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Even Roth in the 80th minute of play. Even Roth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Zalgiris fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Fagervik FF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
