After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Lucio Ishmael managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nykvaag's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucio Ishmael was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christer Nordlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ubaldo Frantzes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Zé Pedro Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Christer Nordlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th minute, Zé Pedro Lopez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Christer Nordlund. The goal made the score 1-0. The audience was convinced that Ståle Dehli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bastien Kennel was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Zé Pedro Lopez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th minute, Zé Pedro Lopez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christer Nordlund was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Zé Pedro Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nykvaag's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Pedro Lopez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
