Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Odd-Eirik Vollen in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Mellem prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot 5 in the game by Stig Mogren from a close distance when the talented Thomas Skjold managed to make a qualified save. Skillemo's players were relieved. In the 7th match minute, Skillemo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oddbjørn Nordstrand to maneuver through the defense. Stig Mogren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Thomas Skjold when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 9th minute, Christer Rishaug got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bryne FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oddbjørn Nordstrand was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A collision led to Skillemo getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Oddbjørn Nordstrand hit a great ball. Felix Nordgård hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After 44 minutes of play, Skillemo's Steinar Nome made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Mellem was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bryne FK's Daniel Mellem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steinar Nome in the 47th minute of play. The Bryne FK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Skillemo were winning 0-2.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Odd-Eirik Vollen during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Bryne FK booed when Skillemo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Odd-Eirik Vollen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 52 minutes, Filipe Pacheco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bryne FK and the Skillemo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Filipe Pacheco kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Thomas Skjold showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Krister Tvedten in the 67th minute of the match. Odd-Eirik Vollen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Daniel Mellem came out and tried to block the shot, but Odd-Eirik Vollen slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 70th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Runar Bertheussen notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Bryne FK's Daniel Mellem. Daniel Mellem was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stig Mogren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Skillemo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Skillemo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
