The supporters of Gjerdset booed when Træff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oddbjørn Langli didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Gjerdset's Karl Moa fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Tor Mæhle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl Moa in the 15th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the game, Træff's Fredrik Bjørdal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olaf Engebretsen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Karl Moa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tor Mæhle having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Træff's Oddbjørn Langli got a free kick in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Bergsvik in the 37th minute of play forced Træff's goalkeeper Tor Mæhle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olaf Engebretsen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Anders Nordås showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 38 minute of play. Anders Nordås hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. 48 minutes into the game, Karl Moa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Tor Mæhle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anders Nordås made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Hans-Petter Aaby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gjerdset's Olaf Engebretsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anders Nordås in the 55th minute of play. The supporters of Træff booed when Gjerdset was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig Brynjulfsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olaf Engebretsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans-Petter Aaby in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anders Nordås in the 66th minute of play forced Gjerdset's goalkeeper Olaf Engebretsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th match minute, Gjerdset was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig Brynjulfsen to maneuver through the defense. Fredrik Bjørdal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Olaf Engebretsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olaf Engebretsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anders Nordås, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 80 minutes, Fredrik Bjørdal made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Gjerdset's Olaf Engebretsen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Træff's Oddbjørn Langli got a free kick in the 85th minute. Olaf Engebretsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrik Bjørdal in the 88th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oddbjørn Langli during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olaf Engebretsen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Anders Nordås recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fred Bergsvik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tor Mæhle having to interfere. Træff walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
