When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Pierre Aerts put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Øystein Øksnes. Polarbears's Øystein Øksnes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre Aerts in the 23rd minute of play. Pierre Aerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Øystein Øksnes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pierre Aerts got in the 28th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Øystein Øksnes handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Kaldheim's Ådne Elstad sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Øystein Øksnes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kent Bjorøy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
