Kåre Kvarme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torkel Dyrhaug, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stig Brakstad struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Kåre Kvarme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catalunya FC. After having played for 11 minutes, Stig Brakstad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catalunya FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig Brakstad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kåre Kvarme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig Brakstad, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Stig Brakstad's late challenge caught a Veslevangen FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stig Brakstad helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Catalunya FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Stig Brakstad hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the game, Rune Rong was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Veslevangen FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catalunya FC the free kick. Rune Rong kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. When Sebastian Sand came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Catalunya FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Sand couldn't finish the play. Sebastian Sand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kåre Kvarme having to interfere. Catalunya FC's Sebastian Sand got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 34 minutes, Torkel Dyrhaug mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Catalunya FC and the Veslevangen FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Stian Børstad kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. A collision led to Veslevangen FF getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Rune Rong hit a great ball. The Veslevangen FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kåre Kvarme should have stopped the shot. After 90 minutes, Carl-Rune Lauritzen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Veslevangen FF and the Catalunya FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Catalunya FC booed when Veslevangen FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carl-Rune Lauritzen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alf-Inge Derås received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Christian Lilleng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
