Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eirik Holmgren took the kick off in the first half of the match. Rune Sletner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eirik Holmgren in the 3rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Team Sandsmark's Josef Hellevik got a free kick in the 5th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Eirik Holmgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Festaa BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Eirik Holmgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rune Sletner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 15 minutes into the match, Festaa BK's goal looked a bit too open when Balder Hovind came free, but Steffen Haavik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rune Sletner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ole-Martin Bø, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After having played for 19 minutes, Eirik Holmgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Festaa BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eirik Holmgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jan Idsø hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Eirik Holmgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edvin Jensrud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Rune Sletner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 36 played minutes Festaa BK got a freekick which was hit by Ken Moe. Balder Hovind sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Festaa BK's Hans-Erik Gjestvang got a free kick in the 41st minute. When Lars Skinstad fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Team Sandsmark's protests and gave Lars Skinstad a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Festaa BK booed when Team Sandsmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Skinstad didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute of the match Festaa BK got a corner. Team Sandsmark's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Torvald Aronsen ran over to the corner to take the kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Balder Hovind made the kick off in the second half. Steffen Haavik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balder Hovind, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Eirik Holmgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Team Sandsmark's goalkeeper Rune Sletner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Edvin Jensrud kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rune Sletner. That made the score 0-1 in the 63 minute of play. Edvin Jensrud let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 67th minute shot 0-2 at rihgt post. Balder Hovind received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Steffen Haavik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edvin Jensrud might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rune Sletner. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edvin Jensrud ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Team Sandsmark's zone, Eirik Holmgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rune Sletner came out of the goal and Eirik Holmgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Festaa BK's Edvin Jensrud got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Steffen Haavik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Balder Hovind in the 88th minute of play. Steffen Haavik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fredrik Tessem, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Festaa BK played a much better game than Team Sandsmark and deserved their victory. The Team Sandsmark players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
