Søråa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Jo Kristoffersen scored to the left of an out of position Vegard Netland, making the score, 1-0. Ole Johansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Mirian Gagnidze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vegard Netland came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Lierbyen SK's Gjermund Bartnes. But to his dismay, Gjermund Bartnes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 15 minutes, Ole Johansson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Søråa and the Lierbyen SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th match minute, Søråa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ole Johansson to maneuver through the defense. If Jo Kristoffersen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roar Hildrum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jo Kristoffersen scored 3-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vegard Netland, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 24th minute, Jo Kristoffersen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lierbyen SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roar Hildrum in the 34th minute of play forced Søråa's goalkeeper Vegard Netland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vegard Netland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roar Hildrum in the 37th minute of play. Gjermund Bartnes took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vegard Netland. Vegard Netland dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 45th minute Roar Hildrum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vegard Netland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leon Robstad made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, Søråa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Engan to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Søråa getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. David Buvarp hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Thomas Husevåg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Søråa's Vegard Netland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roar Hildrum in the 83rd minute of play. Ole Johansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Mirian Gagnidze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
