The tension between the KS Portowiec and the Tromsø IL players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Peder Wolden came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the KS Portowiec fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peder Wolden couldn't finish the play. After having played for 14 minutes, Peder Wolden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KS Portowiec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peder Wolden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kristian Borg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peder Wolden in the 17th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peder Wolden in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kristian Borg saved Tromsø IL from getting behind. Geir Myrseth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Bernhard Alt made a huge save. 26 minutes into the game, Tor-Arne Flo threw the ball into play from the sideline. KS Portowiec's Jim-André Knutsen quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 29 minutes into the match, Tromsø IL's goal looked a bit too open when Peder Wolden came free, but Kristian Borg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abraham Ulvestad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Kristian Borg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Peder Wolden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Peder Wolden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kristian Borg was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Abraham Ulvestad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jim-André Knutsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th match minute, Tromsø IL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tor-Arne Flo to maneuver through the defense. After 48 played minutes KS Portowiec got a freekick which was hit by Peder Wolden. The Tromsø IL players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. KS Portowiec were winning 0-1.

54 minutes into the match, KS Portowiec's goal looked a bit too open when Hauk Refsdal came free, but Bernhard Alt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernhard Alt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Filip Lauten, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. If Abraham Ulvestad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the game, Peder Wolden lined in a short shot 0-2 behind a frustrated Kristian Borg. Kristian Borg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peder Wolden in the 64th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Abraham Ulvestad recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kristian Borg. Abraham Ulvestad showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. The audience was convinced that Peder Wolden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kristian Borg was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 91st minute, Jim-André Knutsen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kristian Borg. The goal made the score 0-4. Peder Wolden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristian Borg having to interfere. In the 97th minute Hauk Refsdal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernhard Alt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. KS Portowiec's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
