With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lars-Olav Ofstad in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dan Buan saved Oppsal Rovers from getting behind. After 9 minutes, Hans-Martin Fossli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oppsal Rovers and the Sørbakken players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sørbakken's Eirik Aalvik couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 10th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Oppsal Rovers. Dan Buan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sture Westlie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lars-Olav Ofstad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dan Buan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Lars-Olav Ofstad struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Dan Buan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sørbakken. The supporters of Oppsal Rovers booed when Sørbakken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eirik Aalvik didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars-Olav Ofstad in the 30th minute of play forced Oppsal Rovers's goalkeeper Dan Buan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dan Buan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars-Olav Ofstad in the 34th minute of the match. If Lars-Olav Ofstad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lars-Olav Ofstad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Dan Buan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lars-Olav Ofstad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dan Buan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sture Westlie, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

Lars-Olav Ofstad's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dan Buan firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lars-Olav Ofstad got free with Dan Buan in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 61 played minutes Oppsal Rovers got a freekick which was hit by Peter Strandberg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Sørensen in the 66th minute of play forced Sørbakken's goalkeeper Morten Rinde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 66 minutes, Martin Bråten mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sørbakken and the Oppsal Rovers players grew even worse after the yellow card. Morten Rinde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Sørensen in the 67th minute of play. Hans-Martin Fossli kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute Sørbakken were awarded a corner. Eirik Aalvik went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Eirik Aalvik almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Oppsal Rovers's Dan Buan did a great save. 79 minutes in the game, Torgeir Fløtre dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. If Lars-Olav Ofstad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 93 minutes, Lars-Olav Ofstad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sørbakken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars-Olav Ofstad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Sture Westlie came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Sørbakken fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sture Westlie couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Sørbakken players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
