Aleksander Sleire hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleksander Sleire in the 6th minute of play forced Breland's goalkeeper Finn-Christian Refvik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Runar Fosse recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Snorre Lundgren during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Stavanger booed when Breland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Snorre Lundgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Thomas Uthus notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Breland's Finn-Christian Refvik. Finn-Christian Refvik was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Finn-Christian Refvik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Runar Fosse in the 21st minute of play. Finn-Christian Refvik was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Runar Fosse capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Runar Fosse really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Asbjørn Paulsrud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Finn-Christian Refvik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, Stavanger's Asbjørn Paulsrud nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Finn-Christian Refvik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Runar Fosse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 41 minutes, Asbjørn Paulsrud managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stavanger's supporters crossed their fingers, but Asbjørn Paulsrud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kent Tøsse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Finn-Christian Refvik having to interfere. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Breland's goalkeeper Finn-Christian Refvik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Finn-Christian Refvik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Uthus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Breland's Finn-Christian Refvik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Runar Fosse in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Breland's goalkeeper Finn-Christian Refvik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Breland's Lars Nyhus got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute, Lars Nyhus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Runar Fosse in the 64th minute of play forced Breland's goalkeeper Finn-Christian Refvik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute Snorre Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Tronstad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Stavanger's Morten Sjøli got a free kick in the 71st minute. Stavanger's Runar Fosse got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thomas Uthus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Finn-Christian Refvik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aleksander Sleire struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Finn-Christian Refvik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stavanger. Runar Fosse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Finn-Christian Refvik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Finn-Christian Refvik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aleksander Sleire in the 88th minute of the match. Vegard Ræstad made in the 90th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Snorre Lundgren. In the 94th minute, Thomas Uthus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Stavanger fully deserved thier win.
