A very good chance. 17 minutes into the game, Christoffer Bogen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Breland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fyske FF the free kick. Christoffer Bogen kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Breland's Jonathan Tangerud got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute of the match Theodor Digernes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Finn-Christian Refvik showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Steinar Selmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Finn-Christian Refvik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Askim in the 27th minute of the match. A collision led to Breland getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jonathan Tangerud hit a great ball. In the 29th minute Felix Askim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Finn-Christian Refvik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Fyske FF's goalkeeper Øivind Sture, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Felix Askim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Finn-Christian Refvik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steinar Selmer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Finn-Christian Refvik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Finn-Christian Refvik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steinar Selmer in the 43rd minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaute Sjøthun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Lars Nyhus fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Breland's protests and gave Lars Nyhus a yellow card for diving instead. After 53 played minutes Breland got a freekick which was hit by Lars Nyhus. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Breland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Theodor Digernes was slow to take the kick. During this time Fyske FF's players had a chance to rest. The referee ignored Fyske FF's protests and gave Steinar Selmer a yellow card for diving instead. Steinar Selmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fyske FF's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
