When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Ståle Andvik took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Rune Nordrum to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugo Blakstad stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ole-Einar Rustad kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Lukas Bratli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven Høiby in the 64th minute. Ole-Einar Rustad took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rune Nordrum. Rune Nordrum dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After having played for 92 minutes, Trygve Hætta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hunnes BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trygve Hætta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. During the 93rd minute of the match Hugo Blakstad completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Hugo Blakstad a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. There was no doubt that Hunnes BK were the better team. Hunnes BK's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
