Håvard Birkenes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Linus Reistad in the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Linus Reistad to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Andreas Lorentzen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Larvik's goalkeeper Håvard Birkenes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Ronny Herland fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Enga BK's protests and gave Ronny Herland a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Enga BK's zone, Bjørn Stokka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anders Rånes came out of the goal and Bjørn Stokka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 86 minutes into the game, Magnus Vindenes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Larvik's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Enga BK the free kick. A collision led to FC Larvik getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Magnus Vindenes hit a great ball. Hauk Lein charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hauk Lein the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. FC Larvik's Håvard Birkenes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Linus Reistad in the 93rd minute of play.
