The audience thought a goal was coming when Bjørn Stokka got free with Eirik Lilleng in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Theodor Ulvik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Håvard Birkenes having to interfere. If Erik Aanestad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute of the match Asmund Langholm shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Håvard Birkenes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hauk Lein's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eirik Lilleng read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of FC Larvik booed when Vindaxe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bent Løset didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Theodor Ulvik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, Vindaxe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hauk Lein came free, but Eirik Lilleng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Håvard Birkenes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Aanestad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 39 minutes, Theodor Ulvik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vindaxe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Theodor Ulvik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Erik Aanestad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vindaxe FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Aanestad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Håvard Birkenes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 48 in the game by Bjørn Stokka from a close distance when the talented Eirik Lilleng managed to make a qualified save. Vindaxe FC's players were relieved. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

53 minutes into the match, Vindaxe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hauk Lein came free, but Eirik Lilleng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ludvik Stormyr helped the player get up and apologised. After 57 played minutes Vindaxe FC got a freekick which was hit by Ludvik Stormyr. Bjørn Stokka might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eirik Lilleng. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bjørn Stokka ran back to his position shaking his head. Hauk Lein recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bjørn Stokka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eirik Lilleng having to interfere. André Berg's late challenge caught a Vindaxe FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The long shot by Asmund Langholm in the 67th minute really tested Håvard Birkenes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Erik Aanestad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vindaxe FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Aanestad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Håvard Birkenes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 77th minute, Theodor Ulvik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Håvard Birkenes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Theodor Ulvik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ludvik Stormyr in the 87th minute of play forced FC Larvik's goalkeeper Håvard Birkenes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Theodor Ulvik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Håvard Birkenes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vindaxe FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
