Axel Tellefsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bjørn Christoffersen in the 15th minute of play forced Lyn 1896's goalkeeper Axel Tellefsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Axel Tellefsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Frode Mo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon-Erik Åsheim in the 20th minute of play forced Lyn 1896's goalkeeper Axel Tellefsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute Kenneth Sjøvold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Osmundsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarle Nyseth scored 0-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Axel Tellefsen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 26 minutes into the match, Jan-Frode Mo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Axel Tellefsen. Axel Tellefsen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 34 minutes into the match, manchester u's Jon-Erik Åsheim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Axel Tellefsen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Jan-Frode Mo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Axel Tellefsen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Jon-Erik Åsheim sped through Lyn 1896's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Axel Tellefsen. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulrik Valle to make the kick off. manchester u's Jon-Erik Åsheim managed to work through Lyn 1896's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Jon-Erik Åsheim dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Lyn 1896's Axel Tellefsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarle Nyseth in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Jan-Frode Mo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Axel Tellefsen, 0-7. Jan-Frode Mo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-9 to the left of a surprised Axel Tellefsen 66 minutes into the match. Otto Osmundsen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ulrik Valle went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-9 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Linus Olafsen during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 73 played minutes manchester u got a freekick which was hit by Linus Olafsen. In the 82nd minute, Jan-Frode Mo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Jarle Nyseth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Jan-Frode Mo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Axel Tellefsen was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. 86 minutes into the game, Jan-Frode Mo lined in a short shot 1-11 behind a frustrated Axel Tellefsen. If Jon-Erik Åsheim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Axel Tellefsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Frode Mo in the 91st minute of the match. manchester u's Otto Osmundsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulrik Valle in the 95th minute of play. manchester u played a much better game than Lyn 1896 and deserved their victory. The Lyn 1896 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
