Hans-Martin Torland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ole-Kristian Kaasa having to interfere. Ole-Kristian Kaasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennart Takvam in the 20th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Glenn Rolfsen in the 26th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Glenn Rolfsen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Brage Thoen made a huge save. Hans-Martin Torland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ole-Kristian Kaasa having to interfere. Gulset were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Vingulmark FK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Felix Sanne took the corner. Ole-Kristian Kaasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Sekse stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Lennart Takvam managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gulset's supporters rose to their feet, but Lennart Takvam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ole-Kristian Kaasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 56 minutes, Glenn Rolfsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vingulmark FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Glenn Rolfsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hans-Martin Torlands short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Ole-Kristian Kaasa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Brage Thoen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glenn Rolfsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gulset walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
