The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emílio Carreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Endre Krohn in the 3rd minute of play. Linus Bjørgo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Lindgren having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Erik Lauritzen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Richard Lindgren. The goal made the score 1-0. Emílio Carreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Endre Krohn in the 28th minute of play. Tore Slåtten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Carreira having to interfere. Richard Lindgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Linus Bjørgo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Linus Bjørgo made a kick off. Endre Krohn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Carreira having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Kjetil Østby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Linus Bjørgo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Linus Bjørgo in the 57th minute of play forced Fanahammaren BK's goalkeeper Richard Lindgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Lindgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Linus Bjørgo, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Emílio Carreira acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 63rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tor-Andre Bru. Richard Lindgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Linus Bjørgo in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Kristian Hansen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Richard Lindgren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 71 minutes into the match, Fanahammaren BK's goal looked a bit too open when Bård Kvande came free, but Richard Lindgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Bård Kvande made a precise shot to the right of Richard Lindgren. Fanahammaren BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. After 78 played minutes Fanahammaren BK got a freekick which was hit by Morten Øverbø. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Linus Bjørgo put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Richard Lindgren. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Linus Bjørgo in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richard Lindgren saved Fanahammaren BK from getting behind. Erik Lauritzen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Richard Lindgren having to make a save. After 87 played minutes Fanahammaren BK got a freekick which was hit by Søren Bratsberg. Bård Kvande shot a long shot in the 88th minute and a light blocked Richard Lindgren hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 6-1. 94 minutes into the match, Heieren IF's Linus Bjørgo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Richard Lindgren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 96th minute Linus Bjørgo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Lindgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
