Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nils-Johan Horn, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Eilert Nilssen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kviby. After 25 minutes, Runar Moe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skogbygda IF and the Kviby players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th minute, Runar Moe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Erland Huse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan Bremnes's late challenge caught a Kviby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eilif Hovda was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Skogbygda IF got a freekick which was hit by Runar Moe. After 56 played minutes Skogbygda IF got a freekick which was hit by Runar Garberg. After having played for 64 minutes, Tor-Henrik Fiksdal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kviby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tor-Henrik Fiksdal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Torgeir Sogn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skogbygda IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Torgeir Sogn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils-Johan Horn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
