With a little luck, Fonnes's Peder Sandland got control of the ball when Krister Myklebost tried to sneak it across the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Svein Bergene was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When Frank Bjørke came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Porsangvik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Bjørke couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute, Porsangvik's Frank Bjørke ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Peder Sandland. Peder Sandland yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Porsangvik's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Alfred Follestad scored to the left of an out of position Isak Lind, making the score, 1-1. After 57 minutes, Alfred Follestad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fonnes and the Porsangvik players grew even worse after the yellow card. Frank Bjørke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Peder Sandland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfred Follestad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Krister Myklebost had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Porsangvik's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
