With a little luck, Team Solstrøm's Terje Hatland got control of the ball when Edvard Weum tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Team Solstrøm's zone, Alexander Barstad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Terje Hatland came out of the goal and Alexander Barstad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Fiskerstrand charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Fiskerstrand the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Team Solstrøm getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Jonathan Fiskerstrand hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edvard Weum got free with Terje Hatland in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexander Barstad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terje Hatland having to interfere. Tor-Kristian Nilssen did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Terje Hatland 23 minutes into the match. Alexander Barstad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tor-Kristian Nilssen in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Terje Hatland, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some careless play in the Team Solstrøm defense, Tor-Kristian Nilssen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Terje Hatland. The Team Solstrøm fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Terje Hatland should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tor-Kristian Nilssen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tor-Kristian Nilssen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Terje Hatland read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute, John-Einar Årdal made a precise shot to the right of Terje Hatland. Team Solstrøm's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. 64 minutes into the match, Team Solstrøm's goal looked a bit too open when Tor-Kristian Nilssen came free, but Terje Hatland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alexander Barstad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Terje Hatland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tor-Kristian Nilssen, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Åfarnes's Hans Nordal was substituted for Lukas Sjåvik. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Tor-Kristian Nilssen put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Terje Hatland. Terje Hatland stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tor-Kristian Nilssen's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. After 75 played minutes Team Solstrøm got a freekick which was hit by Sigurd Gunnarsen. In the 80thth minute of the game Tor-Kristian Nilssen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Team Solstrøm's Terje Hatland was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tor-Kristian Nilssen in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Terje Hatland saved Team Solstrøm from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Christer Engvik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åfarnes's supporters rose to their feet, but Christer Engvik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Terje Hatland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tor-Kristian Nilssen in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Terje Hatland prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Sigurd Gunnarsen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Sigurd Gunnarsens short, quick shot in the 97thth minute got Francisco Lerin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Team Solstrøm's Sigve Espenes got a free kick in the 99th minute. 99 minutes into the match, Team Solstrøm's goal looked a bit too open when Edvard Weum came free, but Terje Hatland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
