A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Preben Derås had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Andreas Rist fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kabelvaag BF's protests and gave Andreas Rist a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Grunnfør FC booed when Kabelvaag BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Rist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kabelvaag BF's Johan Furunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Kristiansen in the 25th minute of play. Preben Derås fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Furunes having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Anton Kristiansen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anton Kristiansen spun around in front of the goal 31 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Kabelvaag BF's goal. The Grunnfør FC fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Grunnfør FC's Preben Derås looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Anton Kristiansen scored 0-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johan Furunes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Kristiansen in the 43rd minute of play forced Kabelvaag BF's goalkeeper Johan Furunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kabelvaag BF's zone, Preben Derås stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johan Furunes came out of the goal and Preben Derås tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Grunnfør FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Morten Roos made a kick off. Sjur Hestvik hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The supporters of Kabelvaag BF booed when Grunnfør FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Arne Dragland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anton Kristiansen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ragnar Bøe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Johan Furunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Grunnfør FC's Anton Kristiansen in 76 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Johan Furunes guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 79th minute, Anton Kristiansen fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Anton Kristiansen might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johan Furunes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anton Kristiansen ran back to his position shaking his head. Jan-Arne Dragland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Johan Furunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
