Seating: 1857, VIP seats: 0) Kalsvik's Jon-Arne Svarstad started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Vidar Longva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gandviken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vidar Longva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 5 played minutes Gandviken got a freekick which was hit by Thorbjørn Bruheim. In the 6th minute of the match Hauk Aaberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tor Aae showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Felix Hepsø received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Tor Aae tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gandviken's zone, Jon-Arne Svarstad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tor Aae came out of the goal and Jon-Arne Svarstad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jon-Arne Svarstad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30thth minute of the game Felix Hepsø who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gandviken's Tor Aae was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jon-Arne Svarstad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Tor Aae tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kalsvik's Jon-Arne Svarstad got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felix Hepsø fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tor Aae having to interfere. Felix Hepsø recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jon-Arne Svarstad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vidar Longva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Gandviken getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Vidar Longva hit a great ball. After 53 played minutes Kalsvik got a freekick which was hit by Jon-Arne Svarstad. Gandviken's Tor Aae played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon-Arne Svarstad in the 57th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Jon-Arne Svarstad kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tor Aae. That made the score 0-1 in the 58 minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Felix Hepsø got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Felix Hepsø took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Tor Aae to make any attempt to save it. In the 69thth minute of the game Jon-Arne Svarstad who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gandviken's Tor Aae was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Felix Hepsø fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tor Aae having to interfere. Jon-Arne Svarstad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Tor Aae tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Hepsø sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 played minutes Gandviken got a freekick which was hit by Thorbjørn Bruheim. Felix Hepsø received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Tor Aae tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Kalsvik could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gandviken throughout the match.
